This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. It is static and served by Cloudflare, which, like any host, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Contact form and email

The contact form sends your name, email, company, topic, and message through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), which delivers it to hrishikesh@trailswitch.com under its own terms. Whether you use the form or email directly, your message and address are kept in that mailbox to reply to you and to manage early access. They are not sold or shared. Ask and they will be deleted.

The Trailswitch app

The app captures HTTP traffic on your machine so you can inspect it. Those captures are stored locally on your PC. They leave your machine only when you choose to export or replay them: exported as a HAR file, a test script, or OTLP trace spans sent to an endpoint you configure, or replayed against an environment you pick.

Integrations

If you connect Notion, Linear, or Slack through the Integrations panel, the actions you trigger send a summary of one request (method, URL, status, latency, and service name, plus an error message for Linear issues) to that service under its terms. Request and response bodies are not sent. Sentry, GitHub, and Docker integrations read from those services to show context next to your requests.

AI features

The app runs an MCP server on your machine (127.0.0.1 by default, protected by a token) while it is open. If you connect an AI client such as Claude Code to it, the captured requests that client reads, including headers and bodies, are sent to the model behind that client under that provider's terms. The in-app Explain error feature sends the one request you choose to the AI provider you configure with your own key, after removing sensitive headers. Nothing is sent to an AI model until you connect a client or configure a key.
